The dangers of leaving Nepal to find work

Nowadays, human traffickers are using foreign employment as an avenue to trap the young Nepali boys and girls. Because of Nepal’s low economic status, unemployed Nepalese younger generations are compelled to choose to go for foreign employment services. Seeing the vulnerability of Nepalese people, many employment companies are now being registered. According to government statistics, every day around 1,200 to 1,500 young Nepali people are flying out of Nepal through airports. Some of them are sent by illegal agents or human traffickers.

3 teenage girls were orphaned since they were small and never had the opportunity to go to school. They were successful in securing some work in order to provide for themselves but were regularly abused by the company owner. The girls were offered a job in India that included lovely clothes, great working conditions and good income. It was an opportunity they couldn’t refuse.

2 girls spared from the horror of circus life

Many children are tricked with lies about joining the circus. Most people would think the circus would be a fun place to live, but once in the circuses in India, children often live in squalor and are never allowed to leave the circus compound. They are routinely beaten in order to teach them the difficult and dangerous tricks, and sexual abuse is commonplace. In effect, these children are totally at the mercy of circus management who treat them as they please. This is how 2 girls were spared the horror of circus life.
