WSH: Desperation Attracts Deception – Asha’s Story

Desperate for a better future, Asha was scammed while seeking work abroad but found hope and support at our Women’s Safe Haven and Vocational Center.

During the October – December 2017 quarter, 49 girls were rescued through Captivating funded raids and rescue missions. 20 of these girls were found as one group by our Kathmandu team. A hotel had recently purchased the 20 girls and had locked them in cages in preparation for their next sale. Word of this became known by one of our on-the-ground partners – 3 Angels Nepal. After careful planning and cooperation with the local police, the hotel was raided by police and 3AN staff, and the girls rescued from a horrible fate.
TODAY, each of these 20 girls are now at home and safe with their families. Thank you to our supporters from across the globe – your giving is saving lives.
